EN15194 Compliance & Intended Use
The GROM EN15194 250W is supplied as an electrically power-assisted bicycle that meets the definition of an EPAC under Australian road vehicle standards and EN15194:2017.
As supplied:
- Motor assistance is limited to 250W continuous rated output
- Assistance cuts out at 25 km/h
- Any throttle function is limited to walking-pace assistance only
The EN15194 model is intended for:
- Recreational cycling
- Use on bicycle paths where permitted under state and territory laws
- Private property
This model is not supplied as a motor vehicle and is not designed or intended for use as a road-registered vehicle.
Off-Road Model Intended Use & Important Notice
The GROM 500W is designed and supplied for:
- Private property use
- Off-road environments
- Farms, trails, paddocks, and privately owned land
This model:
- Does not meet the definition of an electrically power-assisted bicycle (EPAC)
